Asian Games

The Asian Games Village is located in the Siri Fort area, near Hauz Khas in New Delhi, India.

The site was developed as the athlete’s village for the 1982 Asian Games held in New Delhi. The village is the first of its kind in the Games series. Built on the remains of the 15th Century Khilji Dynasty’s Siri Fort over an area of 800 acres (3.2 km2), this residential colony has 853 flats of which 793 house top officials of PSUs, bureaucrats, public servants and union ministers. Former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam was resident in the colony prior to his nomination to that position.
